Sports Therapy & Fitness Training
Sports Therapy is about understanding the principles of fitness, athletic training and injury rehabilitation. It involves the assessment of posture, movement, fitness and injuries and the application of manual and electrical interventions to achieve a range of therapeutic objectives.
Clinical Sports Therapy involves health-promoting treatments, exercise recommendations and particular lifestyle advice. The treatment work often incorporates many of the practical techniques utilised by physiotherapists and osteopaths, however, many sports therapists specialise in the provision of remedial soft-tissue massage and the preparation of exercise programmes.
Remember: Sports Therapy is not just for athletes! It is often non-exercisers who experience the most profound improvements in vitality and well-being.
Sport On was created in 2007 after Isabella graduated from the University of Kent with Bsc (Hons) Sports Therapy and Fitness Training.
Her interest in sport came from a young age when she was part of the Gibraltar Rhythmic Gymnastics association and competed locally and in Spain for many years.
After suffering from various injuries and attending regular Physiotherapy sessions she became keen on this type of work and decided to combine her love of sport and passion to help people and study Sports Therapy. After completing her degree, she returned home to Gibraltar and set up Sport On.
