Dennis J Mosquera qualified as a Chartered Architect and became a Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects in January 1980 after having studied at the Manchester University School of Architecture and obtained the Degrees of Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Bachelor of Architecture respectively.
After having experienced working in London for the Department of Architecture and Civic Design at County Hall and later at a couple of leading Private Architectural Practices such as Gibberd and Partners and Fitch and Co., Dennis returned to his native Gibraltar and joined the Public Works Department as a Senior Professional and Technical Officer until his departure in September 1988.
At this time he obtained employment as Senior Architect in charge of the Gibraltar Office of the Sir Charles Nicholson Group, a London-based Private Architectural Practice.
In 1990 Dennis decided it was time to make his own way in Private Practice and he has been practising under his own name to date.
In December 2001 Dennis became a Member of the Cadiz College of Spanish Architects enabling him to practise in Spain.
The Private Practice of Dennis J Mosquera R.I.B.A. has been responsible for innumerable Capital and Small Projects ranging from Residential to Commercial and Office Developments and major clients such as the Government of Gibraltar, Private Accountants’ and Lawyers’ Firms as well as influential individuals in the Private Sector have entrusted it with their commissions.
The attached photographs show a Development of a row of thirteen Private Houses on the east side of Gibraltar, a mid-town extra storey extension for a Chartered Accountancy Firm and a new seven-storey iconic Office Block in the Gibraltar Harbour Area.
Also attached is a short video showing a Scheme Proposed for the Development of another iconic Office Block as well as a Middle School for the Government of Gibraltar all of which formed part of a Tender Proposal by a Large Contractor in recent times.
